ABOUT
Self-taught artist and seasoned globetrotter Maximilian von Vier was born in Switzerland in 1982. Max starts his artistic career as a comic book artist and in 2013, his first graphic novel King Richard is published on the European market.
Max then moves to London to make his first steps in the filmmaking world, where he directs several short films including The Host (screened at the NewFilmmakers LA Film Festival in October 2012, the 47th Solothurn Film Festival and the 2012 Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival) and Sanctuary (screened at the 2012 Lucerne International Film Festival).

In 2016 Max writes the script of his debut feature Suicide Club while backpacking around the world, before flying back to London to shoot the film in early 2017. This confined thriller written on the road ends up winning no less than 13 awards, including Best Feature at the 2017 OWTFF, Best Thriller at the NYC Indie Film Awards, Silver Award for Best Feature at the LA Horror Competition, Best Narrative Feature at the LA Film Awards, Best Thriller & Best Director Award at the 2017 Festigious International Film Festival. Suicide Club lands a worldwide distribution deal and is now available on DVD and VOD platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV, iTunes etc.
Max then writes a new script for director Victor Jaquier, a stop-motion animation feature called Matilda Corkscrew. The project wins the NAFF Award at the 2017 Sitges International Film Festival, as well as the Mocha Chai Award at the 2018 BIFAN Festival in Bucheon, Korea.

Max is currently prepping two feature films, a survival thriller called The Summit and Monster, a thriller developed by Bazelevs Productions. He is also in the process of launching three original productions: KAMIKAZE - Schedule My Death, S.P.H.I.N.X., a thriller series about artificial intelligence and Beyond Brian Black, a sci-fi thriller / supernatural horror feature.
